Trey Godfrey, senior vice president of policy at the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, says the legislation was intended to encourage concert promoters to have a percentage rebated from their ticket sales.

“This legislation gives concert promoters the opportunity to have a percentage rebated from their ticket sales,” Godfrey says. “We see this as an economic development tool to generate more activity.”
