Honda car, 'person of interest' sought in Gonzales drive-by
Alleged shooter pulled along side Darrow man on busy Gonzales thoroughfare, opened fire A Darrow man, Craig Haynes Jr., was shot and killed six months ago in Gonzales, Louisiana. Since the alleged murder, detectives have discovered the drive-by nature of Haynes' slaying and have begun searching for a suspect car and a person of interest. The shooting occurred near the police department and parish Sheriff's Office headquarters buildings and the Ascension Parish Courthouse annex in the area. Haynes died less than a day later from his injuries.

A vehicle pulled along the driver's side of a Darrow man's sedan and someone opened fire on him as he drove through the heart of Gonzales late at night six months ago, city police said Friday.
Craig Haynes Jr., the driver of the Chevrolet Malibu sedan, was shot and died less than a day later from his injuries on Dec. 9, police said.
Since the alleged murder, detectives have uncovered the drive-by nature of Haynes' slaying on South Burnside Avenue and also have begun looking for a suspect car and a person of interest in the shooting who remains at large, police said.
The shooting happened about 11 p.m. Dec. 8 no more than mile from the police department and parish Sheriff's Office headquarters buildings and the Ascension Parish Courthouse annex in Gonzales.
