Ascension Parish partners with Lieutenant Governor’s Office to target illegal dumping and littering
Ascension Parish Government is participating in a statewide anti-litter initiative through the Office of Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser, securing free state-regulated anti-litter and anti-dumping signs and mounting hardware for placement Ascension Parish has partnered with the Lieutenant Governor’s Office in a statewide anti-litter initiative, led by the Office of Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser. The initiative provides free state-regulated anti-dumping signs and mounting hardware for placement throughout the parish. The signs have been deployed across known problem areas, high-traffic parish roads and public boat launches. Each sign instructs motorists, boaters and residents to report violations to the state’�s anti-loit hotline at (855) 525-4883. Once a report is submitted, state enforcement teams will take over the investigation and issue citations directly to violators.
