The Tigers' loss to Kentucky seemed fatal, but then the team's fortunes changed when they lost to Alabama and Texas. According to ESPN’s Playoff Predictor, LSU has a 45% chance of reaching a spot in the 12-team field if it wins its remaining regular-season games. The only remaining undefeated teams in the SEC are Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Kentucky. If LSU loses one of their last three games against Alabama, or lose to Texas and Tennessee, their playoff odds remain above 60%. However, if they lose to Alabama, their chances rise to 65% with wins over Alabama and Tennessee and a loss to Texas, their odds remain at 65%.
