Father of man killed on scooter: "He left this world sober"
Days after celebrating four months of sobriety, 29-year-old Andrew McMullen was killed while riding his electric scooter in Baton Rouge. Andrew McMullen, 29, was hit by a car while riding his electric scooter near the RaceTrac gas station in Baton Rouge on Dec. 26th. He suffered severe brain trauma and died at the hospital around 11:30 p.m. His father and brother, Michael, expressed their grief over his son's death. The loss comes as Andrew's life was taking a positive turn, with his father describing him as "the healthiest and happiest Andrew had been in years." He had recently celebrated a milestone occasion, celebrating Christmas sober with his family. The scooter purchase was a major achievement for Andrew, who had paid for himself.
