A Black chef who cooked for Delta Zeta’s Louisiana State University chapter waited too long to file a race discrimination complaint against employer College Fresh Inc. Bernadine Williams, a Black chef for Delta Zeta's Louisiana State University chapter, has failed to file a race discrimination complaint against employer College Fresh Inc. She sued at least two days outside the 90-day time limit, resulting in her allegations under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 being barred. The US District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana dismissed the claim with prejudice. Williams alleges that a supervisor suggested she'd prefer a White chef to work with Delta, leading to her demotion when she complained of bias.
