Staying dry, trending warmer into Easter weekend

Unlike yesterday, we’ll enjoy sunshine from start to finish, allowing highs to rebound into the mid 70s. A cool start will give way to picture perfect weather, with temperatures expected to rebound into the mid 70s on Good Friday before a significant warm-up for the weekend, with highs expected to reach the upper 70s. The good news is that Easter weekend will remain largely dry, but temperatures may rise slightly higher than expected, possibly reaching the low to mid 80s on Monday before the next cold front arrives late Tuesday into early Wednesday. The current outlook suggests only a scattering of showers along the front, followed by a modest cool down for the second half of the week.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Today’s Forecast: A cool start this morning will give way to picture perfect weather into the afternoon. Unlike yesterday, we’ll enjoy sunshine from start to finish, allowing highs to rebound into the mid 70s.

Good Friday will see one more cool morning before winds shift around to the south and a significant warm-up kicks in for the weekend. Friday’s highs will climb into the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies.

The good news is that Easter weekend stays dry for any outdoor plans you may have. However, it may get a little warmer than some of you would like as highs climb into the low to mid 80s. Easter Sunday will also see a good deal of cloud cover, but again, it is expected to stay dry.

Highs could soar into the upper 80s on Monday before our next cold front arrives late Tuesday into early Wednesday.

The current outlook suggests only a scattering of showers along the front, followed by a modest cool down for the second half of the week.
