The sheriff's office found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his chest and is in stable condition. Surveillance cameras showed a man fleeing the scene on a bike. The man identified as Mark Dewayne Covington, 35, has been identified as the suspected shooter. An arrest warrant has been issued for Covingon for attempted second-degree murder. LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man in connection to a shooting that happened Wednesday night in Walker.
The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to Joe Lee Road around 11 p.m. and found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his chest. The victim was sent to the hospital and is in stable condition, LPSO said.
LPSO said surveillance cameras showed a man “fleeing the scene on a bike.” The sheriff’s office identified the man as Mark Dewayne Covington, 35.
Sheriff Jason Ard said an arrest warrant has been issued for Covington for attempted second-degree murder.
